Tattoo Removal

A New Frontier in Tattoo Removal and Pigmented Lesions

At this time, one in five adults have at least one tattoo. That’s 45 million people in the US alone. Did you know one in five of these people regret their tattoo?

PicoClear™ launches a great time for these patients. Now, technology provides a solution that’s worth the effort.

Like all innovation, new tools are built on the foundation that came before. This innovation creates a win for the patient who can see better results in fewer treatments.

How does PicoClear laser work?

Until now, the most commonly used lasers for tattoo removal are traditional Q-switched nanosecond (one billionth of a second in length) lasers that cause rapid heating of the particle by short laser pulses and destroy tattoo particles by thermal energy (Photothermal stress).

New innovative Picosecond technology creates Picosecond (one trillionth of a second in length!) pulses that are 100X shorter than nanosecond technology. Ultra-short pulses hit the ink particle with a pressure so great that the particle cannot expand fast enough, leading to a buildup of pressure, which leads to particle fracture and shatters into tiny dust-like particles Photoacoustic stress). Since the particles are so small, they are more readily absorbed and eliminated by the body.

More Power – Better Clearance – Faster Results

PicoClear includes a Q-Switch mode, providing options for picosecond and nanosecond pulse durations and the ability to destroy tattoo particles or pigmented lesions with both Photothermal & Photoacoustic stress.

PicoClear features high-power that can destroy ink particles in a precise manner and with less disruption to the patient’s skin. This gives the patient confidence to continue treatment and see tattoo removal all the way to the end.

Dual Wavelength

Every tattoo is unique and contains different colors and different volumes of ink.

PicoClear is a dual wavelength laser featuring a 532nm KTP and a 1064 Nd: YAG. Both wavelengths have a strong track record in tattoo removal. In addition, 1064nm is safer on both darker and lighter skin types.

  • YAG 1064 & KTP 532nm
  • Give patients maximized results in record breaking time
  • Optimize the wavelength to the tattoo colors

PicoClear signals the next generation solution for effectively treating the widest range of tattoo & pigmented lesions.
