The unique CoolSculpting procedure was developed by Harvard scientists and is based on the proprietary science of Cryolipolysis®, demonstrating that when fat cells selectively are exposed to extreme cold, they die and are eliminated naturally from the body, they are gone for good, and patients can expect long-lasting vary results.
The CoolSculpting procedure is cleared by the FDA to breakdown the fat of the submental area, thigh, abdomen, and flank, or “love handles” in individuals with a Body Mass Index of 30 or less.
The CoolSculpting® procedure has been successfully used in over two million treatments to date and has demonstrated in over 50 published clinical articles and 4,000 clinical trial patients to non-invasively and consistently reduce unwanted fat.
The new CoolMini applicator’s size, shape and curvature is uniquely designed to comfortably fit for small volume areas of fat such as double chin. Patients may see results as early as 3 weeks, with the most dramatic results generally observed 1-3 months following treatment. The optimal results can generally achieve in one or two treatments.
The new CoolMini applicator can provide a compelling alternative to other popular devices and methods currently used to treat and contour the neck, like liposuction.
“The outcomes I have observed using the CoolMini applicator to treat the submental area have been very positive, with high levels of patient satisfaction with… fat reduction and the lack of discomfort and downtime afterward,” says Suzanne Kilmer, M.D., a dermatologist in Sacramento, Calif. , and medical advisory board member, principle investigator for the CoolMini submental trial and speaker for Zeltiq.
